Sample Text Effect
Below, Screenshot 1 shows one sample of the effect we will achieve. More examples will be shown at the end of this article.
Add Text
- Create a new RGB Color image with a Black background.
- Press D on the keyboard to select the default colors.
- Press X on the keyboard to switch the foreground and background colors.
- Add 72pt white text.
Add Color Overlay Style
- Choose Layer Style | Color Overlay from the Layer menu.
- In the Color section:
- Set the color to #FAFA98.
- Verify all other settings match Screenshot 2:
Add Stroke Style
- Select and enable the Stroke style.
- In the Structure section:
- Set Size to 1px.
- Select Inside from the Position drop-down list.
- Select Lighten from the Blend Mode drop-down list.
- Set Opacity to 81%.
- Set Soften to 6px.
- In the Fill Type section:
- Set the color to #FAFA91.
- Verify all other settings match Screenshot 3:
